Mumbai, Pan India
Considered spaces, drawn, detailed and delivered.
Uma Interiors is an architecture, interior design and turnkey studio. The work runs from the first plan through to the last joint of the finished room.
01 Studio
A studio that designs the space and then builds it.
Uma Interiors works across architecture, interior design and turnkey delivery. That combination is the point: the plan, the detail drawings and the execution sit with one studio, so what is drawn is what gets built. The practice is based in Mumbai and takes work across India.
The portfolio is shared publicly on Instagram, where the studio keeps a running record of completed rooms: staircases, bedrooms, mandirs and bathrooms.

02 The work
The work
These are the four areas the studio catalogues on its own Instagram profile. Project photography is published there and is not reproduced on this page.
03 Services
Three disciplines, one accountable studio.
04 Approach
Proportion first. Material second. Everything after that is detail, and detail is most of the work.
Proportion
A room is settled before a single finish is chosen. Ceiling heights, openings, circulation and sightlines decide whether a space feels calm or crowded.
Material
Wood, stone, metal and fabric are selected as a set, for how they age and how they meet each other, not as a mood board.
Light
Indirect and layered. Coves, recesses and fixture positions are planned with the ceiling, not added to it.
Detail
Joinery, shadow gaps, edge profiles and reveals. The lines a visitor never consciously notices are the ones that carry the room.
05 Material and detail
The palette the studio builds with.
Material studies in the studio palette. These are tonal references, not photographs of completed projects.
06 / Turnkey
One studio from the drawing to the handover.
Turnkey is stated on the studio's own profile alongside architecture and interior design. It means the design and the execution are not split between a designer who draws and a contractor who interprets. The detail that was drawn is the detail that gets built.

08 Starting a project
How an enquiry reaches the studio.
Describe the space
The city, the property type, roughly how much area, and which rooms are in scope.
Say what you want done
Design only, or design with execution. Whether the shell is ready or still under construction.
Ask about price
The profile states DM for best price, so pricing is discussed directly rather than published as a rate card.
Send it
Use the enquiry form on this page or message the studio on Instagram.
These steps describe what to send when you get in touch. They are guidance for the enquiry, not a published description of the studio's internal process.
09 Questions
Before you enquire.

Does the studio provide turnkey execution?
Yes. Turnkey is listed alongside architecture and interior designing in the studio's own description of itself.
Does Uma Interiors work outside Mumbai?

How do I request a quotation?
The studio asks prospective clients to send a direct message for pricing. No rate card, package or price list is published, so any figure quoted elsewhere is not from the studio.

None is published publicly by the studio, so none is listed on this site. Instagram direct message is the route the studio gives for enquiries.
10 Enquiry
Start a conversation.
Tell the studio about the space, the city and roughly what the project involves. The more specific the brief, the more useful the first reply.
Your brief is ready.
